Whatever you were expecting from the One Piece market this month, it wasn't this. The CardTrack One Piece Card Game Index jumped 10.7% over the past 30 days across the 722 cards we track closely, and the story behind that number is a handful of cards going absolutely wild. Usopp from the Anime 25th Collection more than doubled from pocket-change territory to $40, up 74%. Perona from Wings of the Captain climbed 73.9% to $819, which is a serious move for a card already living in premium territory. Add in Monkey.D.Luffy from Royal Blood (+72.3%) and the Zoro & Sanji dual print from the Zoro and Sanji set (+72.1%), and you've got a genuine buying frenzy on specific chase cards rather than a broad rising tide.

Context matters here, though. When we look across the wider trading card landscape, One Piece actually posted a much quieter +1.6% over the same recent stretch — modest but real growth, and it put the game roughly in the middle of the pack. Magic: The Gathering led with +2.9%, Yu-Gi-Oh! ticked up 0.7%, Disney Lorcana added 1.2%, while Pokémon had a rough patch, down 8.1%. So the headline 10.7% index move is very real, but it's being driven by a small cluster of cards catching fire, not by the whole market lifting together. That's an important distinction if you're deciding whether to chase these prices.

Not everything went up, either. Trafalgar Law from the Heroines Edition got cut nearly in half, down 49% to $25, and Upper Yard, Jewelry Bonney, and Egghead-era Nami all gave back meaningful ground too. That's the nature of this market right now — sharp, card-specific swings in both directions rather than one steady trend.

Stack it against the traditional assets and cardboard still looks like the wild child of the portfolio: gold crept up 1.5%, the S&P 500 was flat at -0.1%, and Bitcoin managed +2.5%. One Piece cards, when they move, move on a completely different scale — for better or worse. If you're tracking values, One Piece Card Game prices and the most valuable One Piece cards are worth a regular check, and it's always worth seeing where these names rank against everything else on the CardTrack 100. Here's hoping August brings a few more pleasant surprises and a few less brutal drops.

Methodology

The CardTrack One Piece Card Game Index tracks a value-weighted basket of liquid One Piece Card Game cards. Card values are blended daily from TCGplayer, Cardmarket and PriceCharting. To avoid noise, movers require a minimum value and any implausible move (greater than ±75%) is excluded. This is market data, not financial advice — prices can move quickly.
