What happens on an eBay listing

Open a Pokémon card listing on eBay and the extension reads the title, the photo, the listed condition and the price, then matches the listing to one printing in CardTrack's Pokémon card list — the set, the card number and the variant, English or Japanese, raw or slabbed. That matching step is the whole basis of the appraisal: a value is only useful if it is the value of the card in the photo, which is why the extension checks the photo against the title and warns you when they disagree.

The panel shows the card's raw and graded market values and the most recent completed sales CardTrack has for it — the same figures as the card's own page here, drawn from CardTrack's 20,903 English and 20,900 Japanese Pokémon cards and refreshed daily (last update 19 October 2026). Below that is the verdict: the asking price, converted to US dollars from £, €, AU$ or C$ where needed, set against the market value and called below market, fair or above market. On an auction the verdict is against the current bid, so a card that reads as a deal now may not be one at the close; the PSA premium index shows how far the raw and graded figures typically sit apart.

None of that costs anything or needs a click. The AI grade is the one action you trigger: it scores the listing photo for centering, corners, edges and surface and returns a PSA-style estimate, two-sided if you add the back photo — the same kind of estimate the AI card grader gives on the site. It spends credits from your CardTrack account's monthly allowance, which every plan includes, and it is an estimate from a photo — a buying aid for deciding whether a raw card is worth the grading gamble, not a grade.

What the extension is, and is not

It is a price and grade check that lives on the listing, so you are not switching tabs to look a card up, misreading a title, or paying a price that was fair for a different printing. It is not a professional grade, an authentication or a guarantee: a PSA-style estimate from one photo cannot see a surface scratch the photo hides, and market values move. Where the value matters, the card grader and the card page carry the population, gem-rate and sales detail that a panel cannot.

It also does not act on eBay for you. The extension reads the page in your browser and talks only to CardTrack; it does not bid, message sellers or change anything in your eBay account.

Where the values come from

Values are anchored to live market prices and, where a card has enough completed sales of its own, to those sales, with a range and confidence band from how far the sources sit apart. Graded values are medians of completed sales at each grade and grading company. Asking prices are never presented as sales — which is exactly the distinction the deal verdict depends on, since it compares an asking price with what copies have actually sold for. Beyond eBay

On TCGplayer, Cardmarket, COMC, Fanatics Collect, Mercari and Vinted product pages the extension identifies the card from the page title and shows the same values, recent sales and a track button, but no deal verdict, mislabel check or photo grading: those need the listing's price and photo, which these sites render in ways the extension cannot read reliably today.

Getting started

Install it from the Chrome Web Store, open any eBay Pokémon card listing and the panel appears; there is nothing to configure. Sign in with your CardTrack account from the popup when you want to grade a photo or add a card to your watchlist, which then alerts you when the card lists below market anywhere CardTrack watches. Only Pokémon is covered for now: the extension prices the cards CardTrack prices.
