What the dual lands are
The original dual lands were printed in Alpha, Beta, Unlimited and Revised (hence "ABUR duals"). Each taps for two colours, enters untapped, and has both basic land types — so it works with fetch lands. That combination has never been matched, which is why they define older formats.
Why they're grails
Every ABUR dual is on Magic's Reserved List: Wizards has promised never to reprint them in a tournament-legal set. Supply is frozen forever while Legacy and Commander demand keeps climbing, so the blue duals in particular are among the most valuable non-Power cards in the game.
