What counts as a deal

  • Raw cards: the cheapest US eBay Buy It Now listing that passes our identity and condition checks, measured against the card's raw sold median (the last 12 months of near-mint raw sales, newest weighted most), on a card that sold at least 3 times on eBay in the last 30 days. A card that sells for under $100 needs to be at least 20% and $10 under; a card at $100 or more needs at least 15% and $25. Anything more than 60% under is left out: that gap is nearly always a condition or printing problem, not a bargain.
  • The listing has to describe the same thing the median does: one English copy of this card number and printing, not reverse holo on a holo card, not graded, not a lot, a proxy or a display case, and not titled as played or damaged.
  • PSA slabs: a PSA 9 or PSA 10 listing for that exact card at least 15% and $25 under our value for that grade, and no more than 60% under. We only show it when that value rests on real completed sales of the grade (eBay, Fanatics, PSA auction records), and only up to a value of $1,000: estimates, and slabs worth more than that, are not published automatically. "PSA 10 contender" and other ungraded listings do not count, and when most copies of a card and grade are listed well under our value we show none of them, because the value is what is off.
  • Prices are asking prices before shipping, taxes and import charges. A listing stays on the board for 48 hours from when we last saw it on eBay. We do not re-check it in between, so it may have sold or changed; each card says when it was seen.

A deal is a price comparison, not a prediction: it says a listing is cheap against recent sales, not that the card will rise. Titles are the seller's own words, so check the photos and description before buying. Would rather bid? See Pokémon card auctions ending soon.
