How full art cards have performed
The median value of a full art card, Jan 2021 to Jul 2026 — the type is +124% over that span. The standout riser is Giratina-EX (Dragons Exalted), +210% in the last year. Hover the chart to read the value at any month. Based on ungraded prices; not investment advice.
What full art means
On a full art card the illustration covers the whole card, edge to edge, with the HP, attacks and stats printed over the artwork instead of in a separate box. They're printed with a textured foil and sit at the "ultra rare" tier — a headline pull of the set, spanning Pokémon-EX, GX, V and full-art Trainers/Supporters.
Which are worth the most
Value follows popularity and art. Full-art and alternate-art versions of Charizard, Rayquaza and other favourites lead, along with the scarcer full-art Trainers. Graded gem-mint copies command the strongest prices.
Full-art cards. NOTE: selected by the Rare Ultra rarity tier as a proxy — that tier also holds many V, GX and EX mechanics whose art is not full-bleed.
How a card qualifies: Rarity is exactly Rare Ultra (a proxy; see concept-defs.test.ts for its composition).
