Full Art & Ultra Rare Pokémon Cards

What full art means

On a full art card the illustration covers the whole card, edge to edge, with the HP, attacks and stats printed over the artwork instead of in a separate box. They're printed with a textured foil and sit at the "ultra rare" tier — a headline pull of the set, spanning Pokémon-EX, GX, V and full-art Trainers/Supporters. This list is selected by the Rare Ultra rarity as the closest match to "full art" in the data — that tier is a proxy, and also holds some V/GX/EX cards whose art isn't truly full-bleed, so a handful of rows here are close relatives of full art rather than the genuine edge-to-edge treatment.

Spotting a genuine full art

Before paying a premium for a full art, particularly online, check these (or run a photo through the fake card checker):

• Confirm the illustration runs edge to edge with no separate stats box — the giveaway of a real full art versus a standard card.
• Cross-reference the set code and card number printed at the bottom against the card's known full-art printing for that set; a mismatch means the listing is for a different card or printing.
• Most genuine full arts have a textured, etched surface you can feel and see at an angle; a smooth, glossy face points to a proxy or counterfeit.

Which are worth the most

Value follows popularity and art. Full-art and alternate-art versions of Charizard, Rayquaza and other favourites lead, along with the scarcer full-art Trainers. Because the artwork runs to the edges, whitening and surface scratches are easy to see, so condition shows in the price. Graded gem-mint copies command the strongest prices; where a PSA 10 value is what's driving the number above, it's tagged as such.
