Recent sales $20 – $3,680Updated

Our 1st edition raw figure sits below the median of 8 PSA 1–3 sales of this printing ($200), and a slabbed low grade does not outsell a near-mint raw copy — so it is withheld until clean raw sales settle it.

About the 1st Edition printing

Which object this page prices — and how to tell it from the standard Gengar.

The 1st Edition Gengar carries the first-print stamp on the left of the card, from the earliest Fossil print run before the unlimited reprint. Scarcer than unlimited by construction and priced as a separate product at every grade.

How to tell · bottom-left of the illustration window

A black “EDITION 1” stamp sits to the left of the picture, between the illustration and the card's lower text. No stamp means it is not 1st Edition, whatever else the listing says.

Search term sellers use: 1st edition

1st Edition graded prices

Specific to the 1st edition printing: its own graded-sales ladder, refereed by our sales of this printing where we have five or more at a grade, with PriceCharting as the cross-reference. Each rung says which.

Cert-verified 1st Edition sales

Each sale tied by PSA to a specific 1st edition slab — click the cert to check it on psacard.com. A sale more than 3× off this printing’s value at its grade is treated as a mis-homed slab and left out.
