About the Staff Promo printing

Which object this page prices — and how to tell it from the standard Charizard.

The Staff Promo Charizard is the pre-release promo given to event staff, stamped STAFF on the card. Printed in very small numbers and traded as its own product.

Staff Promo graded prices

Specific to the staff promo printing: its own graded-sales ladder, refereed by our sales of this printing where we have five or more at a grade, with PriceCharting as the cross-reference. Each rung says which.

  • PSA 7$189PriceCharting
  • PSA 9$669PriceCharting
  • PSA 10$2,457PriceCharting
  • BGS 10$2,275PriceCharting

Grading a clean staff promo copy turns roughly $505 into about $2,457 at PSA 10 — PSA grades this card a 10 about 56% of the time, a census rate that overstates a fresh submission’s odds. Where a range is shown it is the recent low–high sale spread at that grade.
