About VMAXクライマックス (Sword & Shield series, S8b)

VMAXクライマックス (Sword & Shield series, S8b) numbers 184 cards on its printed run, and CardTrack's Japanese catalogue holds 293 in total: the extra 109 are secret rares whose collector numbers sit above 184. The set covers 103 different Pokémon. By rarity the cards split into 6 tiers: Character Super Rare (38), Character Rare (28), Double Rare (25), Super Rare (23), Triple Rare (19) and Ultra Rare (8).

The tracked cards add up to about $1,610, and the 59 most valuable of them carry 80% of that. The most valuable card is the Rayquaza (レックウザVMAX) #252/184 at $101.82 raw, around $178 in PSA 10, while the median card is worth about $1.16. 184 cards carry a PSA 10 price; across the cards with both figures, a PSA 10 copy sells for about 13.0× the raw price at the median.

97 illustrators are credited across the set, led by 5ban Graphics (17), PLANETA Mochizuki (11) and nagimiso (9). Raw prices are CardTrack's near-mint figure for the Japanese printing; graded ladders come from CardTrack's graded-price feed, and 196 of the 293 cards have completed eBay sales behind them. Cards with a graded ladder but no raw price are shown at their PSA 10 value so they still sort. CardTrack also tracks 2 sealed products for this set, led by the VMAX Climax Booster Box at about $219.17.
