Not enough clean sales

Updated

Our shadowless raw figure sits below the median of 6 PSA 1–3 sales of this printing ($44), and a slabbed low grade does not outsell a near-mint raw copy — so it is withheld until clean raw sales settle it.

About the Shadowless printing

Which object this page prices — and how to tell it from the standard Magmar.

The Shadowless Magmar is from the print run between 1st Edition and unlimited: no drop shadow to the right of the picture frame, thinner HP type. Fewer were printed than unlimited, and the market treats it as its own card.

How to tell · right-hand edge of the illustration window

On the WOTC printings (1999–2002): no drop shadow down the right side of the picture frame, thinner HP text, and lighter colour. Every 1st Edition Base card is also shadowless — the stamp is what separates the two.
