Pack Scanner — is this pack worth opening?

Pick a set from the list, or scan a sealed pack's photo if you're not sure which set it's from — either way, we show the cards you could pull, the odds, and the pack's expected value versus its price. We can't see the actual cards inside a sealed pack (they're random and nobody can); this is an estimate from real market data.

How the estimate is worked out

Card values are CardTrack's blended market prices, refreshed daily. Pull-tier odds (rare, holo, ultra, secret) come from a fixed-weight model, not a measured or manufacturer-published pull rate — The Pokémon Company doesn't publish real pull rates for any set. Expected value is the average across many simulated packs, the same model used by the pack simulator; the pack you actually buy can pull well above or below it.

Pack scanner FAQ

Can you tell what's inside a sealed pack without opening it?

No. This tool can't see the actual cards inside a sealed pack — nobody can. "Pick your pack" and "Scan a pack" both show a modelled estimate of what a pack from that set typically contains and its expected value, not the specific cards in the pack in front of you.

How accurate is the expected value shown here?

It's a model, not a guarantee. Card prices are CardTrack's blended market values, refreshed daily; pull-tier odds are a fixed-weight model (rare/holo/ultra/secret), not the manufacturer's published pull rates, which are never made public. Expected value tells you the average pack from that set — the pack in your hand can be worth far more or less; for a whole box, see booster box EV.

What's the difference between the two modes?

"Pick your pack" is free and instant — choose a set from the dropdown, no photo needed. "Scan a pack" uses a photo to identify the set for you, for when you're not sure which of the Pokémon sets a pack is from.
