Pokémon Card Market Report — June 2026
Nidoran ♀ (Skyridge) led the Pokémon card market, up 90% over the past 30 days.
CardTrack's monthly read on the Pokémon card market, built from live blended values across 5,934 tracked cards. Movement is each card's real 30-day price change (this is the launch edition; from next month, figures are calendar month-over-month).
The market, in plain English
Let's start with the headline: the CardTrack Pokémon Index — our basket of 5,934 of the most liquid cards in the hobby — climbed 5.3% over the past 30 days. That's a real move, and it's not evenly spread. A handful of lower-priced, mid-tier cards did the heavy lifting, with Nidoran ♀ from Skyridge nearly doubling to $41 and Haunter from HS—Triumphant up almost 90% to $61. Blaziken from Emerald jumped to $150, and the old Expedition Fearow put in a similar run. None of these are the cards that make headlines, but they're exactly the kind of quiet, broad-based buying that tends to show up when collectors start restocking sets rather than chasing one big grail. Zoom out to the wider Pokémon category, though, and the picture gets messier — the broader market actually slipped 8.1% over the same window, a reminder that our liquid-card index and the total market aren't always telling the same story right now. The big-ticket cards took the brunt of it. Kyogre & Groudon LEGEND from HS—Undaunted got cut nearly in half, down 57.4% to $213, and Base Set Zapdos, Call of Legends Deoxys, and Aquapolis Hypno all bled 35-45%. If you've been watching Pokémon prices and wondering why your grail cards feel soft while the cheap stuff runs hot, that's the story — money is rotating out of expensive chase cards and into affordable commons and mid-grade holos. Against the rest of the trading card world, Pokémon's liquid index was the standout this month. Magic: The Gathering rose 2.9%, One Piece and Lorcana each ticked up a point or so, and Yu-Gi-Oh! barely moved. Even against traditional assets, our index held its own — gold added 1.5%, the S&P 500 was flat to slightly down, and Bitcoin gained 2.5%. Pokémon's 5.3% beat all of them on paper, though anyone who's been in this hobby a while knows not to read too much into one month of numbers, especially with the high end pulling in the opposite direction. Worth keeping an eye on the CardTrack 100 and the most valuable Pokémon cards over the next few weeks — if the split between cheap risers and expensive fallers keeps widening, it'll say a lot about where collector money is really headed next.

The CardTrack Index tracks the value of a basket of liquid Pokémon cards, with sub-indices for Vintage (pre-2003), Modern chase (alt-arts, illustration/secret/rainbow rares) and Graded (PSA 10). Card values are blended daily from Cardmarket, TCGplayer, PriceCharting and real eBay sales. To avoid noise, movers require a minimum value (≥ $30), at least three contributing marketplaces, and any implausible move (greater than ±90%) is excluded and flagged for review. This is market data, not financial advice — prices can move quickly.
