How AI Pokémon card grading works
How does the Pokémon card grader work?
Take a clear, straight-on photo of the front of your card. Our AI analyses the four things graders score — corners, edges, surface and centering — and returns an estimated PSA-style grade (1–10) with a subgrade for each, plus an annotated image showing where points were lost.
Is this an official PSA grade?
No — it's an AI estimate to help you decide whether a card is worth submitting before you pay PSA, BGS or CGC fees. The official grade depends on the grader's in-hand inspection. Treat it as a strong pre-grading guide, not a guarantee.
What makes a Pokémon card score high?
Sharp, unworn corners; clean edges with no whitening; a scratch- and print-line-free surface; and tight centering (ideally close to 50/50 left-to-right and top-to-bottom). A single weak area caps the overall grade, which is why centering and corners matter most.
Should I grade my card?
Grade when the PSA 10 value comfortably beats the raw price plus the grading fee, and the card is clean enough to have a real shot at a high grade. After grading here, we show the PSA 10 value versus the raw price so you can judge the upside instantly.
